Meet Colby, Owner & Licensed General Contractor

I’m Colby, and I own and operate M.C. Squared LLC right here in Ligonier. The name comes from my initials (MCC) and my background as a pilot. In aviation, you can’t cut corners or skip steps. That same attention to detail and commitment to doing things right is what I bring to every painting and general contracting project.

I moved to Western Pennsylvania to be close to my son, and I built this business on principles that seem simple but are apparently rare in this industry: show up when you say you will, do quality work whether you’re painting or renovating, communicate honestly, and don’t disappear when the job gets tough.

Why Both Painting and General Contracting?

Most contractors specialize in one or the other. General contractors usually subcontract painting work. Painters typically can’t handle renovation projects. I saw an opportunity to do both at a high level, which gives my clients huge advantages in coordination, cost, and quality control. When you hire M.C. Squared, you get a licensed general contractor who also specializes in professional painting. That means we can handle your complete project from planning to final walkthrough.

Our cost-to-produce pricing model means you know exactly what you're paying for. No hidden fees, no surprise charges. Our payment structure is simple: 25% to schedule, 25% on first day, 50% at completion.
